what if a turtle eats a piece? can it cause impaction like a rock, or can it be digested?

wat things cause impaction, and what things can be digested or passed easy?

I think anything non-digestible of a certain size can possibly cause impaction. Items that are smoother would have a better chance of being passed, but there would be no guarantee if it's large. As for cork bark specifically, I'm not sure if it would get partially digested. I saw you just got some cork bark. Was your turt nipping at it?

The first time I put corkbark in the tank my RES nibbled on it a bit, but never had any problems. I still on occasion find a small piece or two in the tank, but don't think that it's being eaten, just that it's broken off. Make sure your turtle has something else to nibble on, like cuttlebone.
