General Care Discussion :: Weird spot on turtle's shell?

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I have 2 RES, and they are both really healthy from what I can see.. but on one of them I noticed a little spot. I can only notice it under the water. It looks kind of shiny and golden from one angle :? and when I take her out of the water there is nothing there. It doesn't seem to effect her at all - eating, swimming and basking normally. I do a complete water change every 3 weeks and have a pretty good filter, basking spot and heat & UV lamp. It's been there for a while now and hasn't spread or got any bigger. Any ideas of what it is? I hope it's not something I've done wrong. :(

My turtle has a spot like that too. I hope someone here knows what it is, I have no idea.

Usually a golden spot on the shell is an air bubble, means she's getting ready to shed. Pictures if you can would help confirm.
