hey guys...
its been a long time..that my turtle..sometimes realize that there is long height and distance..and he is going to fall...and he still goes..and sometimes not..i wanna know..these kind of turtle i mean RES...do they see very good or their eyes is not very sharp generally?...not that he dosent see..he sees...but sometimes i get so :roll: ...do they have sharp eyes? or normal?

Their vision and smelling senses are very well developed. So I would say that their eyes are sharp and can see at a long distance.

I think their vision and sense of smell are very sharp. We have Charlotte's tank in the basement and whenever i'm downstairs (even if i'm at the other end of the room) she'll see me and swim over to the side of the tank and start begging for food! It would seem she has quite a keen sense of smell as well because even if I drop pellets at the other end of her 100gal tank she'll find them right away!

Charlotte never ceases to amaze me :)

They have good vision at a distance (to escape from predators), but they tend to be somewhat nearsighted. They also don't have very good depth perception (which is why I think they sometimes try to walk off things without realizing how much of a drop there is).
