General Care Discussion :: My turtles are eating the sand I just put in!

Could it be harmfull if my turtles eat a large amount of sand? I bought 2 bags of quikrete play sand and my when i put my 2 turtles back into the tank with it they started eating it!!!

Wel it's not going to stop them up like a big piece of gravel will. and I would assume they process quite a bit in the wild, but I wouldn't let them just sit there and gorge on it, eventually they'll only eat it when food is in it, mine still eats some when food particles get on it.
