General Care Discussion :: How old is your terrapin?

Hi everyone,
I took over 2 RES from my sister in law. The older one is about 21 years old and the younger one is 11. I know they can live really long but how long? Please tell me how old is your terrapin.

They can get like 50 years old I read on one site, Give or take a few years if cared for correctly.

A while ago there was a fellow one here who's RES was 42 years old. Mine are just younguns by that standard.

Ralph will be turning 16 this summer, and I don't know Frankie's age, but I figure she's about the same age.

Whoa! 42...I wonder if it's still alive! I hope mine will live that long. We put them out in the summer. And I love to watch them sun bathing specially when the younger climbs on top of the older one.

I know someone who has 5 and there all past 35years old and there all still living.
