Alright, so turtles are actually a big thing in my family then I thought. My uncle raises a turtle in Vietnam. A Vietnamese Pond Turtle. Anybody had experience with it because he's bringing it over while he's visiting us.
Would it be able to live with my RES while he's over or require another habitat. He says if he's likes my setup or whatever, he might give it to me. The turtle 5 inches (malnourished) compared to my 2 inch turtles.

What does that have to do with keeping them together?

The only things i would worry about are your uncles turtle being sick and carrying something like RI that could pass on to your turtle.

I would also be careful about the size difference you may see some biting. Other than that i really would not worry much. If you don"t want to take the risk of his turtle being sick then you can very easily keep the turtle in a temporary rubbermaid enclosure.

I don't know, yeah I'm afraid of the RI too but yeah. He says that he raised it ever since it was the size of a bottle cap because somebody gave it to him as a turtle that was "suppose to stay small" and could eat leftovers. So it's been basicly eating cooked meat and rice.
He says that the turtle is a dark colored, with a dark body with a yellow pattern.

Sounds really pretty if you ask me. Ive never really seen a Vietnamese Water Turlte before, when you get it you should send some pictures our way.

I'm thinking they look like this. He had it living in his fish pond (where he raises fish to eat). He had a fence around the pond so that's why he never escaped. My uncle says that sometimes he finds him eating one of the baby fishes that just was just borned/hatched.

LOL he Fishes for them too? with a actual Fishing Poll or just net? that would be so funny to see, some guy just chilling in his back yard with a fishing poll in a pond...

No, it's more of a "Tie a string to a long stick and when something pulls on it, pull the stick back as quick as possible and catch the fish" kind of thing. Tried it once when I went in Vietnam back then. Fun but I only caught a small fish. He didn't have a turtle then.
