Feed more vegetables in appropriate portions. Feed much less protein and fat
(like goldfish). After several sheddings, the shell will be better.

So I should only feed him vegetables for about a month like those premade vegetable packages from store? Also he is 3 inches in length. I have a hypo pastel leucistic and regular res all about 1 1/2 inches problem is I feed them group style. Should I remove him from tank or should I just feed everyone individually since they all so small anyways.

My opinion would be to not starve it,just give the correct ammount of stick and give the rest as romaine lettuce.

What i do here is i give 5 sticks, then i give as much romainea s they can eat, eventually they slow down eating and thats when i remove the leftover.

What i suggest for your turtle size would be ,2 reptomin sticks or similar stick.then put some romaine and let them eat it for a good 1-2 minutes then remove the left over.

Just a little tip, you might try a different kind of lettuce because romaine is basically 100% water. It doesn't offer your turtle any of the vitamins the other lettuces have.

Iceberg letttuce, not romaine, is basically water. In fact, I recently read an article on healthy foods that gave romaine top billing for the nutrients it contains to maintain healthy skin.

I would not, however, feed only romaine lettuce, but rather I'd vary it with other varieties (red leaf, etc.), dandelion greens, collard greens, etc. Variety is good.
