So it's been about a week now that I've had my RES. He was shy for a few days and then was starting so come out a bit, then he was finally eating a bit, and then finally basking but now since I changed to a floating rock he hasn't been basking at all and it seems by now he should be clawing at the glass when I hold food out yet he doesn't eat til the foods sunken 4 hours later. I just bought some big fish today to keep him company and he seems to be more active, cycling between sitting on the dock but underwater and swimming about. I'm mainly worried about him not basking at all and not eating when I feed him. Leaving the sticks in has me changing the water almost daily.
Ok. Seems damn hard right now because him not cooperating means I have to change things in the tank, and if I do that he gets stressed and doesn't cooperate. I think he's doing better now with the fish now. I just hope I don't have to clean the water like tomorrow.
