Just for reference, I used an Aquaclear 110 in a 40-gallon stock tank with one 4-inch turtle. It works well in a tank that size, but I wouldn't recommend as the sole filter in a 120-gallon tank.
Canisters work on gravity (ideally should be lower than the tank they're filtering), have ample room for biomedia, and don't need repriming if the power goes out. The FX5 or the XP4 would be fine in your tank. I have heard mixed reviews about Jebo filters, however (they are basically a copy of Eheims, which are also good, but pricey, filters).
