ok so i've been looking around for good basking temps for my lil guys i've gotten ranges from 80-100 and same for water temps i've gotten 70-85 on them i've been keeping my area 80-90 and my water 70-85 is this ok?

70-85 for the water is a big range. For hatchlings, you'll want the water at about 78-80F. Basking temp at 85-90 for the basking temp is good.

B-Dog is correct on the temps. I keep hatchlings at about 78 to 80 and the basking temp at 90 to 91 degrees with UVB. Try and not let the temps fluxuate too much as they cool off very quickly. Good Luck!

general rule of thumb - its too hot when they begin to smell delicious.

haha nooooo don't wanna cook my lil guys, i'm getting more and more attached to them they're starting to react to me which is awesome i read a post earlier on here that said turtles can't be loveable pets.....dissagreed
