Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I always see him looking for something at the bottom of the tank, and I always thought he was just looking for food. But today, I saw him finds one of his poos, and eats them! Is this normal? I feed him like every other day.

My female has always "cleaned up" after herself. However, my male doesn't touch the stuff.

Yeah that's normal my RES does it sometimes. It's probably cause of lack of nutrients but then RES are very curious and will put almost anything in there mouth to try to eat it.
It will not harm him it sometimes help's him

Turtles do eat thier own poo. Some more than others but they do!
