is there anyway i can figure out my turtles estimate age by measuring or examining it. i got squishy from a petsmart and they didnt know the age... :?

If it's an adult, it's impossible to guess the age. Sub-adults are more easier and could be guessed with a one or two year discrepancy.
Can you take pics with a tape measure next to it?

I'd say 2 years old at the most. Nails are still short, so most likely at 4" could be a female

Males have longer and thicker tails and longer front claws by the time they reach the 4" mark.
There is a section of the site that explains that.....Look for it.

Yeah i think you have a female her claws are short.

My guess that she is a little older than 2 years. Maybe 3.
