Do turtles like to have a room mate? I'm thinking about getting another turtle so that my 5 year old RES might have a friend.

He is a male. Are there a lot of aggression problems with males and other turtles?

I also don't want any baby turtles coming out of this... is there a way to pick a baby male turtle over female? If the turtle ends up female will I have to separate them?

Is 120 gallons good for 2 large turtles? (once the baby grows).

RES are a very aggressive breed. They prefer to live alone. Some people have had success with mixing turtles, but RES males are the worst to attempt this with.

Adding a smaller turtle to a larger male RES tank will likely result in injury or death.

Oh okay! Well then I will definitely NOT be getting another turtle then. Just making sure he's happy being alone in his little home.
