Hi, just inherited a couple of red eared sliders one male and one female, my female dropped one egg about a month ago but hasn't dropped any more althogh there is no where for her to bury them. I read somewhere that they have between 2 and 20 eggs, does this mean she has more inside? Help! is there a way of telling?

Only an x-ray from a vet would be completely accurate. Did she lay them in the water?

She only laid one and it was while they were in the bath, (tank I got them in was small so put them in the bath most days while waiting for a new tank)

Is it possible that she was only carrying the one and won't breed again for about a year?

Been trying to read up and learn as much as possible as I don't really know much about them.

Thanks for the tip, will try giving her a gentle squeeze, and if she is, does that mean she will disperse of them in the water although they will break or should I make her a nesting ground?

Build her a nesting box. If I'm correct in my thinking, the guy who made that video also has one on how to build a nesting box. He does it in an old aquarium, but any box would do as long as the dimensions are good.
