Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Do res turtles yawn? I have caught my turtle like twice opening her mouth kind of wide for a few seconds then closing it, was just wondering if she was yawning or if something might be wrong with her.
Anita - RES that's very pretty and seems stubborn.
Kain - Min Pin Chihuahua mix that thinks he owns the place.
Princess - PitBull that thinks she's 5 pounds.

Mine will do it in the evening after he's been basking for a while.

My RES does that sometimes at the end of the day. So yeah it's normal, Unless they are doing it allot and seem like they are gasping for air and making noises.

If in the water, probably so. But on the basking area after he's been up there for a while, I'd say my RES was yawning. :D
