Do res turtles yawn? I have caught my turtle like twice opening her mouth kind of wide for a few seconds then closing it, was just wondering if she was yawning or if something might be wrong with her.

Yes, they can yawn

My RES does that sometimes at the end of the day. So yeah it's normal, Unless they are doing it allot and seem like they are gasping for air and making noises.

I thought they're taking a big gulp of water when doing that.

If in the water, probably so. But on the basking area after he's been up there for a while, I'd say my RES was yawning.
