If I were to clean my bathtub thoroughly, would it be okay to plug the drain, fill up the bathtub, and let my turtles swim around for some extra exercise and swimming fun? I'd be supervising them.

SURE! We got a big ole bathtub and my babies LOVE getting to swim in it when we are cleaning their tank :) BUT I also have a ledge so they can get out of the water of they want, So just make sure there is something they can get onto :)

I would throughly rinse everything with clean water after initial cleaning. Personally, I do not recommend warm tap water, for the same reasons you are not supposed to drink or cook with it.

I'd give the tub a good scrubbing with baking soda and vinegar (to get rid of any soap residue) and rinse it very, very well before using it.

Yeah just make sure they have something they can get out of, and make the water the same or close tot he same as their tank and the cleaning of course :)
