I wonder why do my Bei bei put her hand in front of her head and shake???
Does that mean she want to attack the other turtle?? Or??

I put another turtle in to my tank with bei bei, I separated them because the new one is only 1 inches and bei bei is like 6 inches. Now the new one have grow bigger and become 3 inches and bei bei is 7 inches they knock down the separated wall by themselves . But they don't bite or fight so I left it like that they live so peacefully, they bask together and everything. But recently everytime when bei bei put her hand in front of her head and facing the small one, the small one bite her hand... So yea Bei bei Is getting picked on someone half her size...

Should I sperate them again? They do that maybe once every week or less. Bei bei hand doesn't seem to have any injury.

It's a sign of mating,aggression, or both. I would separate. Bei bei is most likely a female and the other nameless one a male. Pictures would confirm.

What size tank are they in? To me, the fluttering is an indication that there's potential trouble down the road (bullying leading to more serious forms of aggression). I would separate them, especially since there's a rather large size difference between them.

My turtles are doing the same thing. Just started recently, sex of them is still not 100%. I think its a dominance action as well, they might be trying to tell each other who's "boss".
