General Care Discussion :: Turtle throwing up

I think my turtle has been eating the plastic aquatic vines, I was cleaning his tank and everything was removed I went to wash something in the kitchen and when i returned there was this stuff that looked like spoiled lettuce floating in his tank and I know it was not there before. What makes me think this was throw up is i found little ends from the vines that were not there before and they were covered in it. I don't know what there vomit looks like so I cant be sure. I am gonna keep his tank empty for now and observe him. There is not anything in his tank right will he be ok for a day with out anything to rest on.

Could it have been poop? My turtle always has pieces of undigested lettuce in his poop. So maybe yours has undigested plastic vines in his.

Turtles will try to eat ANYTHING you put in the tank, they are monsters when it comes to eating. I usually dont put any plants or anything in my tank because its just going to get ruined and possibly endanger your turtle but its all up to you. alot of turtles do fine with lots of stuff in there tank.

More than likely your turtle pooped out the discharge than throwing it up. Keep an eye on his poop and see if the next time it looks the same. Good Luck!
