I have to res and recently I noticed that one of them has almost this white film behind his eyes and white spotting on his shell. I know it's not the shedding of his scute but I'm kind of worried as to what it is and what I'm supposed to do about it. Both my res are showing this white chalk-like film behind both their eyes. Should I take them to a vet or will dry docking be the best method to use?

I don't know what you mean by " a white film behind the eyes"...If there were a film, it would be over the eyes or on the eyelids. Can you post a pic of what you're talking about? Also a pic of the shells dry would be helpful.

You said you noticed this recently. How long have you had your RES and what kind of set-up do you have for them?
