Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I need to steal his dock to lacquer it so that the wood doesn't rot. He will have nothing to rest on.
I know that my RES can float on the surface of water without any movement for hours (he doesn't even touch the bottom of the tank). Does it tire them at all? It looks like their body is a natural float that always stays up. Looks effortless.

He'll be fine, take him out and dry dock him as well if you are really concerned about it.

before i put the sliding doors on my atba my turts spent around 3 months in the water untill i found the time to cut the glass and install the doors.

a few hours or a day or 2 is not a problem at all for turtles to be in the water.
