Hi,
I have some questions regarding my two hatchling turtles.
I believe they are like 2 months (max) old and i just saw one do the "mating dance" to the other and after that he also mounted!
They didn't do it "all the way" but aren't they way too young to be doing this?
Reading all the info about nutrition i kinda figured out i have been probably over feeding them. Since they are growing really fast, shedding skin all the time and their shells already have signs of piramyding. And now the early sexuality thing... I already did use the "Only feed as much as would fit in their heads once a day" rule from the start. I feed them Reptomin pellets and red lettuce and Anarachis. I drop a piece of Anarachis (about 2 inches) in their tank every day.
So do i now start feeding every other day or should i just feed them less every day (one pellet per turtle a day? Less Anarachis?)
All temperatures are optimal according to the info on this site (water 78/basking 90), do i need to lower these as well?
I just want them to be healthy hatchlings. And that's why i followed all the info I found on this site, the web and what i remembered from raising my former RES from back in the day.
But now they have all the signs of over feeding and to high temperatures, it's feels really weird to lower all the conditions to less than optimal...
Please help.
