General Care Discussion :: Turtle just pooped A LOT !!!

I've been out for vacation for the past 12 days and i just got my turtle back from a friend (that is an experienced turtle owner) and i just cleaned his tank with fresh water . I noticed that there wasn't much poop on the bottom of the tank . But just right now, while he was basking on his rock there was a pile of A LOT of poop that was quite liquidy . (sorry if this description is nasty ... but it's just how it is) .

I'm just a bit concerned about why this happened . Is he sick or anything ?

Any other symptoms? What was your RES fed? If possible, increase the amount of pellets in the diet and see if there is any change in the stool.

Nope no other symptoms . He was just fed the floating food sticks as he usually eats . Do i increase the amount of pellets from now on ? Also, if i were to feed him vegetables about how much do i feed him . (He's about the size of when you create a circle with out index finger and your thumb) and what types ? Would that help "?

I'm not sure what type of food and at what quantities you are feeding your RES. Check the "feeding" sticky to get ideas on what people are using.
