At what point of age/ size should I take my turtles out of their tank and let them walk around in an enclosed area for half an hour to an hour?
My turtles are currently small babies, and i have not handled them since i put them in their tank about 2 weeks ago

The more you pick them up and hold them, the less frightened of you they will become. I think they learn to trust you're not going to hurt them.

Many turtle keepers feed their turtles in a separate feeding tank and pick up / handle their turtles every day.

Yep. I'm one of those. My YBS is still a little shy but at least its not diving into the water at the first site of movement like it was. My RES...if I put my hand in the tank to get him he usually knows what time it is...food time. lol he just floats there and waits to be picked up. YBS makes me chase still. :p

I was wondering about that myself a new owner myself..unfortunately there was 2x daily handleing for vitamins and now I had to put up a privacy wall around the tank so he don't see me when I come in the room...he freaks out, dashes in the water and swims frantically against the wall trying to hid everytime hee sees me...any hopes of gaining skipperdees trust back or do they hold grudges like my cat does
