My red ear slider has had some bits of shell rot . A friend told me that i should buy him some medicine . When i go to the pet store, what should i look for (specific brands and type) ?
You first need to make an accurate diagnosis before starting any treatment. Things can become much worse or complicated by using the wrong treatment. If I personally suspected shell rot, I would make an appointment with a herp vet. An experienced, second opinion can be very valuable.
