General Care Discussion :: Houston, (do) we have a problem?

Only that I have no idea who is Houston.
Anyway, after I moved the trio to a 5G, I left them alone for a few hours after I fixed a small platform with a piece of plastic with rectangular slits in it. Since my tank has round ed corners it cant go all the way in, so there's a small rectangular gap between the wall and the platform. My terrapins struggle to get through the hole, but I cant shift the platform 'cos that's the most it can go while sitting comfortably there with suction cups on either side to stabilize it. A few hours later I came down and they seemed exhausted. The smallest one could get up successfully, but the largest cant pull himself up onto it, although I tilted it slightly so they could climb onto it, easily. I dropped two guppies in as 'tank ornaments', and much to my surprise, they chased after them, but in a tired manner. Usually they would go at lightning speed to catch a guppy.
Is there a problem? D:

Ok well first houston is a city here in texas lol second I would suggest getting a different tank so the dock fits correctly and because 5gal isn't much for 3 turtles they need much more space then that they say 10ga to every inch of shell I have a 2.5incher in a 30gal tank by himself. They may be tired from attempting to get on it or maybe they r just very sctive when u are not around try lowering it just slightly and putting a tank plant or rock very close to the dock that they can use to push off to get on. Or maybe try getting a different dock that fits better or has stairs or a ramp on the side that extends into the water to assist them.

I know Squid; it's temporary until I can get them a bigger tank that can last a few years xD

This is very true just make sure if you use one you use something to keep the side supported as they tend to bow because they are usual not made for holding water also keep an eye out for leaks...however you could always go to a tractor supply store and get like a platic tub ur trough they are ususly fairly cheap and are made to hold water also they are much hicker and help in retaining heat. Only down fall is they are pretty much always black so you won't be able to watch them under water
