General Care Discussion :: Where can I buy live plants?

I'm moving my RES into a bigger tank and I want to add plants, but the ones at the pet store look kind of dead. Can you recommend any online places where I can buy live plants that aren't too expensive?

Ebay is usually the best place online. There might be limitations if your state has restrictions on some species, which may be considered invasive.

I bought some at a local Petsmart the other day. They start at $3.99 and go up to $19.99 depending on the size.

Lowes and Home Depot also sell Pond Plants.

Local Reef stores carry Fresh Water Aquatic Plants sometimes.

I have not seen Lowes and Home Depot sell them, it might be regional and seasonal. A word of caution though... no matter where you buy or get the plants... wash and inspect them carefully. They might have snails or parasites on them and in some cases, a lot of fertilizers.
