I used to fill my turtles tank with water from our purifier, but I'm moving my turtle into a 150 gallon stock tank and it takes forever to fill her current tank. I'm thinking of getting a Aqueon Aquarium Water Changer (connects to the sink) and filling the tank with tap water. Do I have to treat it with water conditioner or just let the filter run for a day or two? Will the change hurt or irritate her?
It would be good to have some carbon media in the filter instead of using a water conditioner. Then you can just add water and not treat it separately.
