I didnt get my adult female today.. she was given to a breeding program????? Urg
So, i went to the aquarium store. I saw a little 2 inch res in one of the display tanks. I asked the girl working if i could buy him. She asked another guy working, and he said i guess.. if you want it. It had an infection.... the other big side necks it was housed with kept attacking it. So they took him out and " treated him with peroxide and then put vasaline all over him" .....m.... [!!!]?

So i bought him.n. now that he is getting used to his 80g home...... i notice that he does have some piramiding and is missing a few fingers......

First, welcome to the forum!
Second, Yeah. The pet store sounds totally clueless
If he had an infection, it certainly would not have gone away all by itself unless the pet store gave him an aweful lot of tender loving care.
That, combined with missing fingers - sure sounds like a vet visit is in order ASAP

A large company like them, I would complain to as many of their executives as possible.
