Only if they are of comparable size. Remember, RES are usually stronger and more aggressive than their shelled relatives.

True well my red is the smallest of the 3 right now then my Cumberland and then the new girl is the largest and also the oldest. So maybe I'll try while my sliders are small and put them in the play pool together and continue to do so as they. For the next year which is when i plan to male the move outdoors. Next summer

She is just over a year old and has been alone all her life as far as I know
My two sliders
Turtley-just turned a year old this month was alone from 3mo to 8mo
Edgar-roughly 6mo and has always been with at least one other turtle.

I just want to note that as of right now all the turtles are indoors the new girl has her own tank and the 2 sliders are in a tank together

Ok well some people are complete morons.
Based on claws alone I know this turtle is a boy.
Based on size I think he's about 3 not a yr and a half
Also the girl had him in a 10gal tank with only about 4 inches of water and the water was very slimy and murky. It had a standard fish tank lid and light on the top. That was the only lighting the turtle had and he had no basking dock.
She also had a very large and very sharp sea shell in the tank with him. She was feeding him nothing but a shrimp, cricket, and meal worm mix treat.
If you follow my original link I uploaded so much better photos for yall to look at because I'm still not sure what type of turtle he is.

On the up side he is in a safe home now. He is going into is own 40gal tank with proper uva and uvb lighting as well as filtration. He is very over weight at the moment so I am going to allow him to chill in the bedroom twice a week and start offering nothing but beg and every 3 days if he hasn't eaten I'll give him a small amount of pellets if I get worried.

He is very social tho so he's going to be a fun one my two sliders are a little on the shy side.
I have already made him a vet appt for next week just to make sure he is ok.

Anyways if you can tell me what type of turtle he is that would be great and any suggestions on ways to help him loose weight or ween on to veg would be great

Steve I'm not sure I haven't measured him yet.

He a cool turtle doesn't run when he's on the dock and I come in he lets me pet him and take his pics close up while he's basking he's really laid back and social.
