Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Is there a workaround since i will be stuck using this 2% tube for a while?
I mean making it closer? How close? Now is like 5inch.
Make it longer? Now is like 7hrs on timer.

Make sure their pellet has vitamin d3. Any chance these guys can get some sun light? I would also consider just getting a 5.0 and using the 2.0 when they're older.

prolly only on saturdays. and max 1hr as it is very hot here.
i usually go out with small boxes having less water and two river rock in the morning,
but in previous 2x experience, they dont really climb and bask in real sunlight.

Is it supervised? They can also be in the shade since UVB will reflect, though it cannot penetrate water very well.

yep. i usually sit in the playground at my apartment while watching the kids playing,
and i leave my turtles eat and try to bask. will try again this weekend, maybe last time they are too stressed to bask.

one hour in the sun is quite boring, i need to get me some activity prolly. :D

What do you mean you leave your turtles? 1 hour of indirect sunlight is pretty good, probably more UVB than they would get under the 2.0 in a week.

I keep them in the transparent shoebox, woth shallow water and some river stone for dry basking area.
They cant climb that for sure as the stone is in the centre and they are too small as of now.
i need to hide because otherwise they will keep on looking at me begging for more food.

hmm thanks for the input. will try to find more days then if it's so good :D
