Is there any type of fish that will do well with RES and clean the tank as well?

Some try algae eaters, but they'll need hiding spots. They will add to the load of the filter with their own waste and remember anything in there will eventually be food for your turtle.

So there isn't a fish that will feed on the turtles waste!? Sorry I thought I've heard of such fish! How about those black/grey ones that suction to the glass!

I think minnows will help peck at it. Algae eaters too, though you'll also have to give them algae wafers.

Depending on your turtle, most fish will become snacks for your turtle. Look into snails too, they may live longer but may become potential pests.

Goldfish are waste eaters. But like Steve and Devilduck mentioned unless your turtles are small and the fish big enough or have a hiding space they will probably become snacks.

turtles clean up there own waste ..... at least mine do! lol As for fish! good luck, turtles will eat just about anything you put in the tank.

Yeah I've noticed they eat their own waste! so far they haven't are they feeder fish we there in there!

I have two algae eaters, one is a black pleco and the other is a little, long pink one.. wish i remembered what type, I also have a snail and some ghost shrimp.. I've seen the turtle pick at the snail but the two algae eaters are fine.. and two stinky goldfish that she never ate, they're actually getting really big! I might need to put them in a different tank!

my goldfish love to eat fish poop lol but getting some to stay in the tank is the hard part... i bought about 25 to quickly cycle my fish tank and removed as feeders for the turtles at 13 cents a piece not so hard on the pocket book considering the quick water cyber is 6.99 at the store

long story short i dumped 25 in and all were ate except 3 and they have gotten huge that's my advice but if you are having a big problem with waste a filter upgrade will be needed because goldfish are not that clean either just harder to see and not as often as turtles

I have 4 snails and a couple minnows in my tank with my turt. I catch him/her sniffing and trying to bite the snails shells from time to time but that's about it. They do a pretty good job. I don't know what is going on with the minnows. He has a thing for these 2 I guess. We have had about 8 total in the past and these two manage to keep from becoming a meal.

Yeah Imma give it a shot with a pleco! I've put 16 comet goldfish and only the female are 2 of them! I think they we're too big and fast! This was like a month ago so now the fish are bigger! I threw in 6 minnows 2 weeks ago and only one got eaten! My male doesn't seem to show interest in them only my female! But since 2 out off 22 fish have gotten eaten Imma take my chances and get me a pleco!

I have gouramis in my tank with my 3 turtles. All live pretty happy together.
