General Care Discussion :: New addition worried about agression

I have a red ear slider that is is maybe 2.5 inches housed in a 10 gallon tank. I just got another RES from someone who could not take care of it that is maybe 4-4.5inches. I am setting up a 40 gallon tank too house both together but an a bit worried about aggression. What would be the best way to introduce them to each other to avoid any injuries. Or is the size difference too much to house them together?

If you put both of the turtles in a new habitat at the same time, you should be ok. Neither turtle will have a chance to claim it's territory. Just keep a close eye!
