General Care Discussion :: Slimy things??

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I use to find this 'stuff' at the bottom of my turtles tank. Well, I still do. I have no idea what it is. Some of it looks like tiny slimy balls inside of some slimy film that holds it together in little sacks. And part of it looks like mush. They are really fragile too. When I first started seeing them they were white, but I found some today and it was a darkish green. Does anyone have an idea of what it is?

Do you have any photos?
1 Mississippi Map Turtle 3.25'' (Landslide)
1 Ouachita Map Turtle 4.0'' (Hurricane)
The rest of the turtles have been adopted to good homes. :)

Are they usually located in areas with little or no water flow?

I do have a picture, but it's at home and I'm at school. And the last one was a few inches away from the filter so it was around good water flow.
