Yesterday I noticed a white spot on my RES's eye. After doing some searching I wasnt able to come up with anything regarding this. Has anyone seen this and know what it is? It seemed to go away a little bit today but I thought I would post up anyway.

Tank Stats
90 Gallon
xp3 filter
76 Water Temp
88 Basking temp
5.0 UVB bulb

The turtle is very active and healty just has the wierd eye spot.
Sorry if the pics area so big but that was needed to see the spot.

I am no expert but from what I have read on the site, maybe you should test your water qaulity. Also does he/her have any other strange behaviors?

How is the turtle's eye? Is the white spot still there? If so, does it move at all or is it always in the same place? Does the other eye appear normal?

We had a vet visit tonight and our vet didnt seem to think it was an ulcer. He said that sometimes eyes get a sort of settlement of material behind the outer lense (sorry for my non technical terms, The vet used many and they all flew over my head) basically he said if it was an ulcer it would be affecting the behaviour of the turtle (which it is not). He recommended to keep watch over it but didnt think it was anything to be concerned about. Im glad to hear hes ok. I trust the vet very much since he helped us trememdously get another turtle we have get over an bad case of resperatory infection.
