Fast fish! You need hiding places and a big tank helps to allow the fish to evade your turtle and go to another area in the tank. Guppies are good and will breed at will in your tank. Mine breed and their population is still growing. I don't use breeding nets, if the fry survive then they seem to have a better chance of survival. I used a breeding net before but had little success when introducing the fry after they grew some. They didn't realize the turtle was an predator, so didn't pay much attention to his actions, they all pay attention now! Chinese algae eaters do good and are fast, minnows do ok but become food, I bought 15 back when I setup the big tank and only have 3 that are permanent residents now. Bala sharks seem to be doing good and evade my turtle if need be. I haven't witnessed him chasing the fish lately, they all seem to have settled down. But, I'm sure if the chance arose, he would eat a fish in a heartbeat.
