Hi all,
Wow what a busy summer this is. I went to Houston for two weeks to get my A&P license, I got it! :D I did a road trip from Vegas, stopped by the house in Arizona on the way. I topped off Toku's tank before heading to Texas. He was alone with the fish for three weeks. When I got back this past Monday he was begging for food right away. But looked good and active. His log had moisture on it so he was basking when I walked in the house. He looks really good and I will take pics when I go back home. During the trip he ate the Bala sharks and the minnows. He ate one of the algae eaters and just one female guppy. So now it's just him, one algae eater and about thirty or so guppies. The tank was a bit warm but not too bad (79 degrees f). I turned the a/c down to 75 that should do the trick. I like to keep his tank at 75 degrees. I got exciting news when I got home too. My wife is pregnant, we are gonna have our first kid. Soon it will be time to teach the way of turtle keeping to a new generation;) we don't know the sex yet still too early she is about 9 weeks pregnant. I'm so excited.

Thanks Steve, I just found out yesterday I'm starting my fall semester early (14 Aug) due to my flight course. School doesn't start till the 26th. Such is life. I realized something yesterday, Toku is almost 4 yrs. old!!! Talk about life going by fast! I just got home last night so I'm gonna measure him today and see what his length is at 2 months shy of 4 yrs old.
