Hey guys. I just got my little guy about two weeks ago from a pet store. I didn't notice the small bump under his left arm until after I got him later that day. It seems to have stayed the same size (maybe a little bigger). He eats/basks and otherwise acts normally but it looks like it gets in the way a little when he tries to swim. Any idea on what it is or how I can treat it?

It could be an abcess. Abcesses are often located on the neck where the ears would be, however, they can occur on any part of the body. The best thing to do is take him to a herp vet to determine what it is, If it is an abcess, the vet will lance it to take out the pus and most likely prescribe antibiotics to rid the system of any infection. I'd get it checked soon, especially since from what you wrote it seems to be affecting his swimming ability. (If it is an abcess, it won't go away by itself.)

Good luck. Let us know what happens.
