General Care Discussion :: Turtle aggressive behavior

I have 3 female red ear sliders in an out door pond that have been together for over 5 years. Just recently the larger turtle has started chasing the middle sized turtle and biting it's rear leg. Not sure what to do sense this is a new behavior I haven't experienced. They have been in the same pond for about 3 years. Any advice would help.

How big is the pond? People usually suggest things to distract or break line of views. Feeding separately might help as well. In most cases you will need to consider separation.

My pond is 200+ gallons. They aren't aggressive during feeding. Primarily aggressive In morning and evening.

I had to separate mine. The big female would pick on the little female constantly. I felt so sorry for her, I went out and bought another set up.
