Hi!!

I haven't posted in a while - Sheldon is doing awesome but I have a lighting question. I bought a new tank stand (used) and it came with a tank and the hood lights for coral. The "black light" makes the tank look awesome but it is okay for Sheldon?

Sheldon is a Red Eared Slider who is 4 years old. (I think.) He lives with 3 goldfish and some neon tetras.

Thanks so much!!

No, black lighting can be harmful to the eyes. The hood should still be fine, you can swap it out for some reptile UVB tubes.
