Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

My RES has had this white small looking square piece, it looks like that part of the shell is peeling but it doesnt come off. Ive had him for about a month now and hes had it ever since, my brother said it was scarring but I just wanted to double tap on it. Ill post some pics up tomorrow when its daytime.
It doesnt look like shell rot or fungus it just looks like a scar that may never heal.

I have the same thing. It can one of two things...so I learned from an earlier post. Scar tissue...or a spot where the scute is loose and there is a bit of water underneath it. One of mine has had two spots like that from the beginning. She has grown and the spots have not. Nothing to worry about. If you want to see pics there are some on my yahoo photos page. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/missibsu/ ... pg&.src=ph
