My RES ears are orange and not red? Is he sick?

RES can have ears that range anywhere from almost yellow to orange to red. Nothing to worry about.

some red eared sliders barly have markings on there heads period.

one of mine has orange ears too, i think they are cooler looking than red anyway!

One of my Turtles was bred to have yellow ears I think it is called a pastel
RES - Speed 14 months old
RES - Daisy 6 months old
1x Ginger tabby - Ginga
RES - not named 5 years old

There are yellow ear sliders and there also pastel RES. Pastels are very colorful but they have been manipulated during incubation. They aren't expected to live long and do cost premium.

My babies RES ears were light orange when I got them, but over the past few weeks they've started to get darker.
