My hatchling Kimmie's tail is curved under while my other hatchling Kichi's tail is stright....I need to know is Kimmie ok?????? Sorry I'm just a brand new turtle mommy full of worries I even make sure their breathing regularly

As long as she's behaving and eating normally I wouldn't worry about it. Still get a pic tho.

My turtle sometimes swims with his tail straight out and other times I don't know if he even has a tail because it's all tucked it. Maybe it's a comfort thing but it doesn't seem to be a problem. Good luck though! Coming to a community like this is a good first step to being a good turtle parent. Or grandparent as I like to call it. That's why my name is Pokey's Grandpa hehe

Curved as in bent? One of my turtles had a bent tail that straightened out as he grew.

its curved compleatly under her shell is never stright ...sorry i'm just a little worried but she eats good and loves to swim...I just want to make sure her tail isn't broken

When shes basking she lifts her rear left leg is this normal??????????

That's what my Zeke does, sometimes it's a front leg, sometimes a back leg...I think it's just 'relaxing' enjoying the 'sun' so to speak. Zeke LOVES basking in the light.

The lifting of the legs is affectionally called the "superman" pose... they do that when they are relaxed while basking. :D
