How do you know when your turltles urinate? Mine only poop

Turtles do urinate, only you can't tell because they urinate in the water. Mine has urinated twice when I've lifted him out of the tank.

yep... My female will urinate on me if she doesn't want me to hold her...

My turts will urinate on me when they want me to put them down (if I've been holding them for a while). It's very effective. :)
