The owner of the turtles you'll be sitting for should provide you with a complete set-up for them (if you're not going to be stopping in to check on them). That's what I've done whenever I had to leave turtles with someone for any length of time. Aside from the potential hazards mentioned above, they'll do much better in surroundings that they know.
