ok, so i have the UV dome light that was really expensive and i have a heating lamp but i broke the bulb...should i go out of my way to get another if i already have the dome light? also, i know that the light produces D3, which the turtle needs...but it also says that it can, like, overdose? or something?

what should i do??

If you are talking about the UVA source that produces the heat for the basking area, all you need is a regular light bulb at the appropriate wattage to make the area the right temperature. No need to spend a lot of money on a specialty bulb :)

Yup, for UV a regular light bulb is fine. Although make sure your UV dome light produces UVA and UVB.
