General Care Discussion :: I was approved for RES adoption!

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Yay! Today I found out that I was approved for adopting an RES from the Colorado Reptile Humane Society. My hubby and I will probably go this Saturday to pick one out. There is no fee for RES from them - because so many people get rid of them, sadly. I am so excited! Our out of tank basking area should be done Friday evening, just in time! I'll be sure to post photos of both tank and new turtle!

Good luck in finding your perfect turtle!
I have two baby RES; Emerald(Emmie or Rocky for short, plus she has green ears!) and Pretty. (Don't ask me about her name. My brother named her. He's only 6 1/2.)

It's located in Longmont - here's there website www.corhs.org. I was going to go through turtlehomes, but figured it would probably be easier to work with a local organization. They have some pretty neat turtles up for adoption on their website. They also have a ton of RES that aren't up on the website - too many to list. I'll take lots of pictures while I'm there.
