When cleaning my tank today I seen some white markings on my turtle's shell. What could it be shell rot?

It could be air bubbles trapped under scutes that are getting ready to shed, it could be fungus, it could be shell rot, or it could be hard water deposits. It's hard to say without a picture or detailed description. Are they soft spots and do they smell? That would indicate shell rot. Try and post some pictures of the affected area both wet and dry.

They're not soft and I haven't smelled them. I had him out in a box so his shell got the chance to dry up and I saw them. I'll have a picture out as soon as I can.
