batman-biggest
robin-second biggest
tres amigos-marely(3rd biggest), bud, pepe(smallest with broken shell)

red eared sliders

75 gallon tank 48 length x 13 width x 18 height

this is what they did when I first put them in their tank!!

For awhile they just swam in that certain area because they were used to 10 gal.

all of them were ontop of each other. I think the end is funny!

the skeleton is supposed to be shooting out bubbles but they keep disconnecting the tubing to it. even though I put rocks on it. Any idea how to get them to stop?

oh yeah btw. the light by the skeleton end is the old hood light from their 10 gal. I just put it their to give them extra light but it doesn't really work and I don't know if I like it.

the green thing near the 2 lights is a lilly pad in case you couldn't tell.

and in the log is a sucker fish...I cant spell their correct name.

I also plan to build them an above basking area for them something like this...only bigger to fit all 5. Any suggestion on what to use etc would be great!!

Being they are babys thats more than enough room for now,They are probably loving it...
i wouldn't waste too much money on an above tank basking area untill they are bigger though, they wont need it for atleast a year, untillt hen a standard stick on basking area will be enough...

besides your going to want to look into getting more tanks in the future... if the 3 amigos do end up being male they might fight, same if they are all female... if you have a male and female pair outta the group they can probably stand smaller enclosure together but with what i've seen MM or FF still needs the 10 gallons to every 1 inch of shell...
if your lucky enough to have a M&f in the mix you could probably get away with 10 gallons for 1.5 inches of shell... but 75 gallons wont be enough for 3 full grown happy turtles in a couple years.

Also, for the skeleton tube - get some aquarium safe glue and glue it on around the edges.

BandR -- On the first picture there is a space mid ramp, at the top of your tank that appears open. Your turtles may get out on purpose or jump when frightened. Turtles are great escape artists.

Those aren't his pictures. They are from another member on this forum, and I think they mentioned putting plexiglass in that window.
