Habitat - Indoor :: ok so im setting up

ok i got my tank started. u have the water in and heater and lamp going. i desided on a store bought basking area and out of tank nesting cause i thnk it'll be easyer. maybe i'll try in tank nesting once we have a house. anyway i was wondering what do you all do with the cords for the heater, lamp, ect. i know u have to have a drip loop in it but what do u guys do to keep it neat or hide em in the tank?

I have all my cords plugged into a powerbar. I put the powerbar somewhere where it's accessable, but partially out of site. For Ralph's tank, that's on the tv table beside the tv and on Frankie's tank it's tucked in between the cinder blocks.

I use 2 power bars sitting on the ground behind my tank. I have a ton of power related things on that wall into it.

2 UVB flurosent fixtures...
1 XP3 filter
1 Heating lamp
1 bedroom lamp
1 tv
1 dvd player
1 xbox

And thats just on one wall! Don't get me started on my computer area in my room...

I have a power strip sitting next to my tank on the one side as a deterrant for the cats perching there, that has the two lights and the heater in it, and in the other wall plug, the filter. I think my cords are also tied up with those little wiry ties to keep them somewhat neat.

A power strip will help, but I think you are working with what to do with the cords that come behind the tank. I use electrical wire ties. You can get them in all colors including black and white. I use what ever you cannot see. I usually use black. They are cheap and you can get them a Lowes, Home Depot or Radio Shack.
