A little while ago, my Rena Filstar xp2 stopped working. My turtle had managed to knock the intake valve loose, and it ran like that all day until I came home. I was told that the motor needs water to properly function and stay cool, so it probably overheated from running dry all day. The motor would not even make any sort of sound when I plugged it in, so I assumed that it needed to be replaced.

Well, I finally managed to get a replacement, and it's still not making any sound at all when I plug it in. I've tried several different sockets, and I have no idea what the problem could possibly be. I mean, I replaced everything electronic on it, and only kept the plastic shell and tubing. There's no reason for it to not work at this point. Any suggestions? I'm getting incredibly frustrated.

I'm sure they have a Help Line or something marked on the package it came in somewhere. It's probably an 800 # or something. Or maybe even there website might have a trouble shooting section. Try that stuff first.

Sorry if none of that helps...
